Rheumatologist
Bassett Healthcare Network’s Division of Rheumatology at Bassett Medical Center, seeks a BC/BE Rheumatologist with a strong clinical background to join our progressive multidisciplinary team of three physicians. Patients are seen primarily at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown but travel to some of our regional health centers and/or affiliate hospitals is required. The practice involves inpatient and outpatient consultation, a full spectrum of Rheumatology procedures as well as clinical research opportunities.
A tertiary care, 180-bed hospital and level II trauma center, Bassett is affiliated with Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, and is the designated campus for 3rd and 4th year medical students choosing non-urban training. Sixty residents train in Bassett’s Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Transitional Year residency programs. We offer a full range of medical and surgical subspecialty services. This Central New York facility draws patients from an eight-county region. Our nurses have ANCC Magnet Certification.
Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains, Bassett Medical Center is located in Cooperstown, New York, a beautiful resort village on Otsego Lake. Home to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, the Glimmerglass Opera Company, and the Fenimore Art Museum, the area also boasts many cultural and four season recreational advantages including theater, music, museums, golf, sailing, hiking, and skiing.
