Pediatrician

Bassett Healthcare Network, a growing central New York State health care system, and major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a general Pediatrician at Bassett Medical Center.

The successful candidate will be involved in the continued growth of a busy clinical and teaching practice. Candidate must be BC/BE, with interests in clinical teaching, as well as general outpatient and inpatient pediatrics. Clinic hours are Monday – Friday, 8-5 PM. Call will be less than 1 in 5 nights/weekends on average. On Call services include the coordination of care for newborns at the Birthing Center and pediatric service patients admitted to the Pediatric Unit at Bassett Medical Center. Cesarean sections and high-risk deliveries are attended by the pediatrician on-call. Albany Medical Center is the tertiary care resource for neonatal and pediatric transfers.

In 2009, Bassett Healthcare Network became a clinical campus of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons and is the designated campus for 3rd and 4th year medical students choosing non-urban training. Columbia and Bassett have maintained a formal affiliation since 1947, actively participating in joint teaching and research initiatives for more than six decades.
