OB-GYN - Physician

Bassett Healthcare, a growing Central New York State teaching affiliate of Columbia University is seeking an Obstetrician/Gynecologist. 

Features of this practice:

• Collaborative practice with 8 Physicians, 4 Certified Nurse Midwives and 5 Advanced Practice Clinicians
• Limited overnight call coverage
• Collegial working environment
• Majority of practice is gynecologic care and surgery, with advanced hysteroscopic, laparoscopic, and urogynecologic surgeries performed including DaVinci robotic cases
• Limited obstetric practice with back up provided to nurse midwifery practice
• Level 1 Nursery with 800+ deliveries/year
• Birthing Center newly renovated in 2011
• Dedicated to teaching medical students and surgical and medical residents
• Academic appointment with Columbia University
• EPIC electronic medical record system
• Hospital employed position includes a competitive salary, paid malpractice, 10 days CME with stipend provided, 4+ weeks of vacation, and generous relocation package

In 2012, Bassett Healthcare will become a clinical campus of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons. Columbia and Bassett have maintained a formal affiliation since 1947, actively participating in joint teaching and research initiatives for more than six decades. Bassett joined the New York-Presbyterian Healthcare System in 2003.
