Health Services Researcher
The Bassett Research Institute is seeking an experienced investigator to lead studies for the Bassett Healthcare Network. The ideal candidate would have doctoral-level training and several years of experience with research in health services, health economics, public health, or a closely related social or health sciences discipline. This person will support areas of ongoing research and establish new areas of expertise in the organization, financing, delivery and evaluation of health services, particularly those delivered to rural regions. Senior candidates should have an established track record and existing funding. Junior level candidates should have appropriate training and clear potential for becoming a successful independent investigator.
Areas of Focus Might Include:
• Integrated health system in the delivery or cost of selected services to rural populations.
• The utility of incentives for altering health care in a physician group employed system.
• Approaches for delivery of specific services in non-traditional rural settings.
• Comparisons between specific interventions in selected Bassett sites vs. other sites.
